Fair Housing, Homeownership, & Women’s History Months
Monumental Months
Fair Housing Month:
The Details…
The target audience at Kansas City Homes is not only potential new recruits (agents) but also clientele as well. And we want to show those potential clients that we take inclusivity seriously.
Fair Housing Month is very important to us! As I stated in the copy above, the month of April is about celebrating the passing of the Fair Housing Act in the 1960s which prohibited discrimination in housing based on sex, race, color, nationality, etc.
I did not engineer the graphic for this post, but the idea as well as the caption is all mine as I wanted to showcase just how special and important this month is. I wanted something that would be shareable for all. Having the public understand that real estate agents are not just in it for themselves also felt like an important message to share.
National Homeownership Month:
The Details…
I decided to run a mini-campaign of sorts for National Homeownership Month (June) because as a young person, I noticed this was a huge topic (and debate) of conversation amongst my peers. No one seems to think buying a house is worth it. So, to target first-time homebuyers, I laid out for a designer, four reasons why buying a home might be worth it, particularly to people in their mid-late twenties.
Women’s History Month:
The Details…
Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (March 8) is especially important to Kansas City Homes because of the large amount of women on the leadership team AND the role that women play in the real estate industry.
On top of the photos in the gallery you see above, we also ran a more generic Women’s History Month campaign tied to highlighting the achievements of women throughout history. Recognizing the struggles of women in the past is foundational to appreciating their resilience today!
In the gallery above are posts shared of interviews with the women at Kansas City Homes. We highlight agents and brokers and their take on being a woman in the industry. On top of these simpler interviews, we also interviewed our President and CEO, Christian Barnes in video form where she gave her advice to women in real estate and how the industry has changed for women. You can view that interview here.
